F-Gas Regulation

The European Union’s F-Gas Regulation became law on 4 July 2007.  This imposes obligations on ‘operators’ of air conditioning, heat pumps and refrigeration.  F-gases include all HFC refrigerants such as R134a, R407c and R410a.  The Regulation aims to minimise emissions of these gases which affect global warming when released into the atmosphere.  Please see our EU F-Gas Regulation Section.

Heating Legislation

All commercial premises are required to ensure the safety of their heating services. This must be undertaken by a CORGI registered specialist at least once every 12 months.

The consequence of good maintenance will in any event be lower running costs.

Water Hygiene

All water storage systems must undergo a risk assessment and, of course, this must be fully documented.
